The Human Resources Office partners with our various District departments and staff to recruit, develop, and manage a highly skilled and diverse workforce in support of educational services and student success. We strive to provide equitable, enriching and enjoyable careers for our talented staff. Burlington employs over 500 educational staff including certified teachers and specialists, administrators, clerical, custodial, instructional support, cafeteria, and custodial/maintenance staff. Our student population showcases global diversity, where nearly 60 home languages are spoken by our students and their families.

- Please do not mail, email, or fax documents to us. You may upload all of the above items with your application. The Burlington Public Schools will only accept electronic submissions, with the only exception being that we will request original transcripts upon hire.

- An application is required for any position for which you wish to be
considered. To apply for more than one position or to attach your application
to a future job posting, once you have completed an application in our Recruit & Hire system, you may log into the system and attach your completed application to another job posting. Through your account you can submit updates to your application or upload/revise attachments at any time.

M.G.L. c. 71, § 38R requires all schools to conduct criminal background checks on current and prospective employees and volunteers, including those who regularly provide school-related transportation to students, who may have direct and unmonitored contact with children.
